Sex In Asia

As open Asia is becoming increasingly curious, ever more comfortable and daring about it, the lives of billions are quickly changing.

asian sex fitUntil the recentl past, most of the Asian continent lagged far behind the rest of the world when it came to sex. There was, however, one exception and that exception was Japan. On a whole, Asian countries were too stubbornly conservative or even tangled in nonsensical political ideologies to revolutionise themselves sexually.

The recent sexual revolution in Asia has been driven mainly by images from the West, from Baywatch babes, to Jack and Rose’s steamy shagging on the doomed Titanic and, of course, such new phenomena as online porn sites and chat rooms.

Not that all the sexual freedom was invented by the West though. The originals for Hefner’s famous Playboy Mansion were Medieval Asian courts. China’s Tao cemented for years the classic concept that emotional and spiritual fulfillment demands great sex and - lots of it. And the I Ching named that most essential description of both male and femal - the yin and yang.

Naturally for such a dramatic change like this, backlashes are all but simply inevitable, particularly from the older generations who often feel like they have missed out big time or even from hypocritical politicians ranting about cultural imperialism by the West. They just don’t get it. New attitudes towards sex have, in fact, coincided with even greater openness in Asian countries across the board.

Though not all Asian countries enjoy adequate sexual freedom but some really do and now many more Asians have economic liberties unthikable a few decades back. Unless something drastically changes, sexual freedom in Asia will only proliferate, however hard the old fogies grumble!
